Welcome to PAIN 2019
Welcome to the 24th Annual Gabor Racz Advanced Interventional Pain Conference and Workshops. We are very excited to announce that our conference is going to be the most successful of the last 24 years. We are now at capacity for our workshops! We design our workshops to be maximally beneficial to everyone. Having so many remarkable Physicians from all regions of the world to present the latest and greatest of topic is not to be missed. Last year’s program offered so many positive reviews, while also suggesting some new and exciting topics. We have taken these suggestions very seriously and are including solid,
evidence-packed materials, along with multiple interventional procedure workshops.
Our Award Ceremony Dinner this year will be at one of the most elegant five-star hotels; the Corinthia Budapest Hotel in the Ballroom. It just blends into the significance of the event, sponsored by Stimwave.
The Trail Blazer award this year shall be given to Dr. Laxaimah Manchikanti who has been one of the most significant figures in the field of interventional pain medicine. Similarly, the second recipient Dr. Gerald Rosen, who has headed up the system of qualitative and quantitative assessment of the FIPP examination processes and the same principals have been used in the ultrasound examinations as well. Gerald has been a constant figure from the start of the concept of improving the practical and academic assessment of every single candidate and examination. The awards ceremony not only brings together participants and facility, but we are able to see all the happy faces of those receiving their FIPP/CIPS diplomas.
The local arrangements have been made through the Local Committee, Edit Racz, Agnes Stogicza and the Scientific Planning Committee (Adnan Al-Kaisy, Fabricio Dias Assis, Aaron Calodney, Miles Day, Carl Noe, Raja Reddy, Ricardo Ruiz-Lopez,
Peter Staats, Agnes Stogicza)
As always, I am very grateful to all of our Sponsors; Medtronic, Stimwave, Epimed, Boston Scientific, Metrum, Nevro, Co-Medical, Equip, Vexim/ Stryker, Apex, Inomed, Ziehm and Fujifilm. Without them, we would not be able to continue with this amazing program.
We know you will enjoy this conference and come away with valuable information that will enhance the way you practice pain medicine. Interactions with colleagues and friends from around the world will stimulate the creative minds.
We look forward to seeing you in Budapest!
